World Hoop Day ~ Take 2 ! 08/15/08
So last Friday, 08/08/08 was World Hoop Day. Our intention was to meet and celebrate this occasion, but it RAINED and RAINED and didn't stop. We didn't get to hoop :( So we decided to try again & celebrate World Hoop Day THIS Friday, 08/15/08. The numbers don't align, but hopefully the weather will!
To commemorate this fabulous occasion, hoopers will be gathering & jamming & having a hoop parade. *It is critical that this gathering/parade be viewed in a renegade fashion ~ ie: you all just "randomly decided" to come out & hoop at these places, but THERE IS NO ONE WHO ORGANIZED THIS EVENT. This way, no one will get in trouble* :) Here are the details:
WHO: HOOPERS
WHAT: WORLD HOOP DAY CELEBRATION - TAKE 2
WHERE: MEET ON THE GRASS IN FRONT OF CAMBRIDGE CITY HALL IN CENTRAL SQUARE ~ WE WILL WAIT FOR 10 MINUTES OR SO & THEN BEGIN A MARCH TO HARVARD SQUARE & THE CAMBRIDGE COMMON
WHEN: FRIDAY AUGUST 15TH, 2008 @ 8PM
WHY: BECAUSE WE LOVE HOOPING!
HOW: WE ARE GOING TO ROCK OUT WITH AS MANY HOOPS, HOOPERS, COSTUMES, BOOMBOXES & FUN THAT WE CAN MUSTER.

Tue, August 12, 2008 - 7:36 AMOh goody! We missed it last week because I was burnt out from a Jonas Brothers concert that I took my daughter too. It was kind of like hell, but I think hell has better music.
I think the Candy Cane princess may come out and play!!!! Maybe I can get Tim to don his santa gear....

Sonic Beating & our favorite band, Psylab, are putting on a show there that begins at 9pm. We decided to have our parade end at a party! We will be marching down Western Ave & then cutting over the BU Bridge to Commonwealth Ave. We will make our way through Red Sox nation to Bill's Bar on Landsdowne Street.
