For the first time ever, Christabel will be hosting a HoopGirl teacher training workshop on the East Coast. In addition, her live trainings have been drastically cut down for 2008. By 2009, most of the HoopGirl teacher training programs will be distance learning packages. In other words, this is the first time (and quite possibly the last time) you'll have an opportunity to train with Christabel in person, on the East Coast.
The 3-day event will take place June 20-22 in St. Petersburg, Florida at the Roberts Recreation Center (located at 1246 50th Avenue North, St. Petersburg, FL 33703). For those unfamiliar, St. Pete is located just outside of Tampa. And if you can't make the Tampa training, here is the full 08 calendar for Level 1 Teacher Training:

BACKGROUND:
The program is spread over three days, for a total of 24 hours of hoopdance instructor training. It's intended for those seeking a career as entrepreneurs teaching hooping as a mind-body, athletic dance form. Teaching is taught as a transformational practice of personal growth and empowerment. Graduates have the option to license as official HoopGirlWorkoutâ˘. In other words, this is an awesome opportunity for you to become certified and spread the hoop love in your own city by teaching hooping classes.
